LG Air Conditioning Academy, the first of its kind in the Middle East, has recently concluded its latest MultiV II training course for a number of engineers from the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA) and Aqaba Development Corporation (ADC) at the InterContinental Hotel - Aqaba.
The Academy's choice to organize the training course, in which 25 engineers took advantage of, stems from its commitment to enhance the skill set of local engineers in all sectors, develop their practical knowledge and inform them of the latest technological advances in air conditioning systems. Moreover, the Academy also aims to invest such skills in the rich, unsaturated Aqaba market, as it requires a vast number of qualified staff that is familiar with the latest worldwide technologies.
Commenting on the course's conclusion was LG Air Conditioning Academy's Manager, Eng. Hussam Ebbini, who expressed, "We have chosen to conduct a course for Aqaba's engineers to enhance their practical experience and skills in air conditioning systems engineering. Aqaba is currently launching various investment and development projects that require highly-trained forces knowledgeable with the latest worldwide technologies. As the first of its kind in the Middle East, the Academy will continue to organize such courses to include the largest number of local and regional engineers."
The engineers expressed their delight at such an initiative, and Eng. Jaafar Al-Quoda from Aqaba Development Corporation expressed his admiration for the establishment such an Academy in Jordan, possessing years of expertise and engineering skills that are fit to compete on a worldwide level in the air conditioning engineering market. He also noted that the course has enabled him to enhance his engineering, academic and practical skills.
Furthermore, Engineer Ma'an Al-Fakara from the Aqaba Special Economic Zone stated that this course enabled him to know more about new high-end technologies such as LG's Solar System. He noted that the course is easy to understand and relies on practical applications, as it is conducted by engineers working in different sites.
It is worth mentioning that the LG Air Conditioning Academy has achieved massive success during its short period of operation and since its launch in April, 2010. The Academy has actively trained over 500 trainees from diverse sectors including students, engineers, contractors and consultants from Jordan and the Middle East. Moreover, the Academy's facilities include an exhibition for LG's latest air conditioning, lighting and solar energy products, in addition to a conference hall, a training room equipped with the latest LG MultiV equipment, and systems and networks that enable trainees to perform technical work efficiently.
